THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF ISTRIA WINS FOUR PRIZES AWARDED BY THE CROATIAN MUSEUM ASSOCIATION
The Croatian Museum Association awarded two prizes and two recognitions to the Archaeological Museum of Istria for the project realised in 2015.
The jury of the Croatian Museum Association has awarded the Annual Prize in the category for editorial projects realised in 2015 to the monograph Monkodonja, Research of a proto-urban settlement from the older and middle bronze age in Istria, by Kristina Mihovilić, realised by the Archaeological Museum of Istria.
In the category dedicated to inter-museum cooperation the Annual Prize for 2015 has been awarded to the project Medieval Gold and Silver, curated by Željko Ujčić. The project is the result of co-operation among the archaeological museum of the Republic of Croatia: the Archaeological Museum of Zagreb, the Archaeological Museum of Split, Archaeological Museum of Zadar, the Museum of Slavonia and the Archaeological Museum of Istria.
The exhibition of the Archaeological Museum of Istria: Istria, the Lion and the Eagle – TEMPORIS SIGNA, archaeological evidence of the post-medieval period in Istria, by Tatjana Bradara and Odnina Krnjak, was awarded the Recognition for the realisation of exhibitions in 2015, whilst the programme Spectacula Antiqua realised by the Museum was awarded the Recognition given to marketing and promotional programmes in 2015.
The annual prizes will be delivered on Thursday, 20th October 2016, at 14.00 hrs at the Mimara Museum in Zagreb.
